Since when is brown the new caution color??

paging Mike Wilson...

I've always loved spicey foods. These days they are making some REALLY good hot sauces. The best are gluten free, vegan, and no preservatives (all natural). For those unaware the current hottest pepper (some of these sauces are made with) in the world is made in South Carolina, the Carolina reaper @ 1.5 million scoville soon to be beat by the same producer by his pepper currently labeled pepper X awaiting confirmation with Guinness book of records rated somewhere in the 3+ million scoville. I've been trying all different brands, etc. and these are my top favorite (so far). I highly recommended these for anyone wanting to spice things up whatever it be... wings, curry, pork, etc. P.S. Some of these will literally clean your bowels out in hours!

I don't mind spicy, but if the food thats being prepared is QUALITY, that is the true joy of eating. Not masking the taste of poor quality with something hot to cover the lack of flavor. We have people over for dinner, and find great joy & pride I guess, when they take the first bite of steak or corn on the cob slathered with butter BOTH made and grown right out back fresh from the animal or off the cornstalk. NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is better than fresh from the garden green salad picked only as long ago as it takes to chill it in a bowl sitting in a bowl filled with ice water to crisp it up on a warn summer day.

EXECPT maybe having an Ice Cold Barley Pop brewed in my home brewing kit waiting for the steaks to cook on the grill :D

I dislike almost all of the "hot" sauces. Most of them only have clever labels but the taste is overwhelming and usually ruin the flavor of what you are eating. I get the ground reapers or something like it and sprinkle it on my food to satisfy my addiction to hot peppers.

What is meant by clever labels? (marketing strategies?)I know the aka miso (I think I read) is 70% peppers... I was given a bag of fresh leftover peppers a pub had and it included reapers, big black mama, and scorpion peppers and all I could say is wow to the taste. I don't mind some "fillers" they use like tomatoes or certain spices.. it just gives them a unique flavor.

Dumb a@@ hot sauce, pain in the @SS, a** blasted, whoop a$$, hot as sh*@, pucker butt, colon cleaner, to name a few.

The trick is to prepare the dish so that it sets your mouth to smoldering whilst you chew, but fades a couple seconds afer you swallow, and a couple seconds before your beverage reaches your lips.

I suspect some of that high-scoville sauce might make decent insect and critter repellant around gardens and buildings, though you might want to 'infuse' it into vegetable oil so wind doesn't blow it around.
