Got a 2003 dodge 3500 4wd buried in options due to be delivered the 23rd. Wanted options put on at the dealership like the leveling kit, front flares pinstripe etc, so all can be painted prior to being simonized. Want an aggressive tire with a tread like a BFG MUD T/A or Super Swamper TRXUS and all seem to need to be on a wider than stock wheel. Problem is bigger than I expected. 17 inch mud tires are few and far between. Cant find a single mfg that makes a 17 inch "dually" wheel, or any that express a desire to help. If no wheel is available, cant get the tires, so cant lift front end or install flares without it looking dumb... saw one lifted using stock wheels, not what I had in mind. Is there anyone out there that knows who makes wheels or sells 17 inch dually wheels? Thanks in advance!

stockton wheel has all kinds of stuff, and they even do custom stuff too... you also might want to look into getting 19. 5's with some 265/70/19. 5 maybe... there is someone on this board that has that wheel/tire combo, but the user name i can't remember. he's also got 5" exhaust iirc

Close but no cigar. They will do more than others I have talked to. Said if I send them my stock wheels and give them 6 weeks and $125 a wheel they will cut and widen each wheel by 2 inches. And for $450 will make a spacer/adapter plate for the back. Didn't seem very interested in doing it. Like the whole idea was a waste of their time... . and my money. Said someone will undoubtedly make wheels in the next two years. Guess I am impatient. Thanks for the reply.

still no cigar

Thanks for the reply. Talked to Interco and seem to have no choices without an 8 inch wide rim. Not denying it may be possible to squeeze them on. There is a red Dodge dually on the roadarmor.com and Trailready.com (same truck) web site who's owner I plan tracking down tomorrow for questioning. Granted its wearing swampers though a bit "pinched" looking. The bumper set up is exactly what I ordered only in black so need to talk to them anyway. Hopefully that will give me a lead. We have a 10 1/2 foot Bigfoot camper we are taking on 3 week vacation (that will be stuffed to the gills no doubt) in August so its important the tire setup is not in question when carrying a heavy payload. And the frustration continues... ... . the swampers do seem to be the best choice for width and function so far.

I've got the 19. 5's , check out my readers rig's pictures. Same problem, no good choices on taller/wider tires.

265/70-19. 5 Goodyear G-124's.

Hey Greg, I saw you checking them out today, seems I saw something running down the front tire, you weren't drooling over them were ya??

Hey, I saw at least 10 inches of air under the front tires at least once when you were popping wheelies with the Bobcat today.

I had to play with it more after you left, and took Aaron for a spin again. I went over the driveway by the garage to smooth it out there.

Aaron was a big help today. Tell him thanks... ... . :D I had fun running that thing.

I just showed the boss the pics of your truck in the readers rigs. She said how nice your truck looked with the new tires... . Hmmm,

I wonder what that might mean? Naw, she wouldn't understand would she?
