Who makes Chevy injection pump

My friend just bought a 93 Chevy with a manual injection pump. It started giving him problems. It seems to be starved for fuel. he is going to have the fuel pressure checked. If its the injection pump we would like to have someone local to rebuild the pump, but its hard to get prices when you don't know who the pump is made by.

The pump is made by Stanadyne; it should be a DB2 831-4911 if it's a turbo 6. 5L manual pump. You can verify it here. http://www.stanadyne.com/dsg/dsg_db2.asp



Go here http://www.accuratediesel.com/ for a good place to have it rebuilt if needed, should be around $200 if no parts need to be replaced. Make sure the Fuel filter is not clogged.

The Gm's had lift pump troubles too. Check the lift pump pres @ idle cold and HOT. The pump might be good but the oil presure sender may be bad and not give the lift pump any power.

The 93's had a 4911. These pumps can cost big$$$$ if the head and rotor are bad. If it is hard to start hot the head and rotor are more than likely shot.
