OK, Let me get this straight, is it that FordCummins.com is the JRE/Banks of the Conversion guys :-{} , or is it because I missed the part of the post with the reference to FordCummins.com?

Maybe I just should not dare to tread here and put up with DC's Rusty Doors, never mind the Ford Stuff

Don't take this as an issue to get mad about. I only have a factory Dodge cummins 4wd because at the time I bought it, I needed a turn key diesel truck that had an extended cab for our newborn son's car seat. I had just finished over a year of visits to the hospital an allergic reaction and blood poisoning from direct skin contact with synthetic fluid/ Dettron ATF. I was working with With Kenny and Dawna at the time and was forbidden by both my wife and the doc to touch the stuff until the tests were completed. Only due to this circumstance did I go with a dodge as a tow rig. Given any choice in the matter, I would have repowered an Excursion with a 12 valve as a solution. The cab on my '96 is falling apart, the driveline has 260,000 miles and is still pulling like an elephant. Sheetmetal and fitment wise, my '96 is the weakest, most loose piece of crap I have ever owned,(outside of a Dodge Omni for 4 months of High School, go figure, both Chryslers

) The day Ford puts a cummins, Cat, or Detroit engine in their trucks in the inline 6 configuration is the day I walk away from my dodge with no regrets other than car payments. Til then, A repower is the only thing I see as an affordable option for a used diesel truck. ($40,000 and up for a new diesel pickup is just madness in my eyes, I can buy a low mileage MDT or a Class 8 tractor for that).
I have little experience with the new body style Dodge, so I won't critique them beyond the sheetmetal being just as thin if not thinner than my '96. Hopefull the cab redesign has made a difference in longevity. Only time will tell on that one.
The issue with Ford repowers using cummins has nothing to do with either the engine or the Ford truck. It is strictly in the website you posted to it. If you have some time, do a search of the archived posts here and look for any posts I submitted regarding it. There are more than a few that will enlighten you. No one is trying to shoulder you out here, the post is only in regard to this one issue. Posting up websites you have no knowledge of their background and recommending them as you did is the only thing I as well as others in this thread are addressing. The problem is, it gives new readers the impression you somehow or another are endorsing the site, which only leads to another victim in the future. Hope you get it now. Like I said, nothing personal.
