All rite i have a gremlin i need help tracking down. Im trying to help my buddy figure out what is going on with his 99 ram 3500. The problem has been around sence he got the truck and the mods dont effect it so here it goes. While driving the truck, the dash warning beeper will ding and all the gauges will shut off, sometimes just freeze, in the odometer readout it will say "no bus", the truck runs fine (sometimes stumbles off the line but rarely).

Its a 99 so it wont show codes in the odo readout and i dont have a code reader but i think we have had it read "no bus to ecm". What connections do i need to check (and where)? any help would be appreciated.

thanks

There is a TSB on this saying that the connector between the cluster and the wiring harness has a problem.

There are several threads in this forum about other fixes.

I used just whack mine and it came back. Not hard enough to break anything. .
