Curtis,

The middle one must be related to our former ass. chief. Long before 9/11, we get a call for people with throat irritation and difficulty breathing at the local post office. We are fully bunkered out with SCBA's wandering around looking for boxes with a wet bottom.

Here comes former ass. chief, invincible since he has a white shirt on, in his street clothes complaining about burning eyes and throat. Whoda thunk?

:--) Holly crap, it's amazing what some people are willing to do. The one with the guy drilling on the ladder has to be my favorite.

Darwin award waiting to happen right there. You'd think if you could afford a nice welder like that you could buy some jack stands.

Heck, he probably couldn't afford a welder like that , he more then likely stole it !!!! :p

I kind of think that the 3rd pic is of a training drill. We did them all the time at work, especially the haz-mat team. Eric

Very true, It also looks like he was even smart enough to remove his shoe so they wont get wet upon falling in. :-laf

We (FD) were tearing up an old house scheduled for demolition. Our Batt Chief is on the saw cutting a vent hole in the roof. First rule of cutting a vent hole: do not stand in the middle as you cut it. Someone mentioned this fact to him as he was fixing to plummet through the roof.

When I was a bridge inspector for the state of Wyo, we had one of these. When it was brand new, the rep from the factory drove it out for us and put on a training seminar for an entire week. We went through this thing top to bottom, at the end of the day he asked us if there was anything else we needed or thought the factory should make a standard on their product. My partner stood up and told him it needed that grippy sticky stuff put on the top rung of the safety rail so he wouldn't slip around so much when standing on it. Needless to say the safety/training official wasn't too pleased. :-laf
