Sorry guys, I need some help with this question. I remeber reading some past posts about Ford owning part or having some sort of control of Cummins. Not that it bothers me, but on another bbs (non-truck related) someone might have there info crossed. I just wanted to know the facts. I did search the Cummins site, and found nothing about Ford.

Any help or links would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Cole

Thanks Steve, that was what I was looking for.

Hey Cole. It's been a long standing rumor that Ford owns Cummins. In actuality, only Cummins owns Cummins.

My nieghbor says the same thing all the time. say that for did own cummins. Then why in the %^&* would they put a Intertrashional motor in their trucks??

You ought to direct your neighbor to the Cummins website and have him read the FAQ. Ford did own a small portion of Cummins stock at one point, but they sure as heck had no control, and I would definately say that they didn't "own" Cummins.

I can't believe that this rumor STILL goes on. I don't know how it got started, but it's one of the longest, most annoying rumors I have ever seen. EVER. :)
