Just the person I was looking for a couple years ago. This subject came up a couple times but no one really knew much about it. I read some about EDM and was impressed with it, sounded like you could open up the holes more precisely than EH. Basically laser-cut, right?
Trying to find a comparison of the two processes, but no luck. Anyone with extreme technical experience care to chime in? Well, okay anybody who has been in the room with both EDM and EH injectors counts (not necessarily at the same time). I suspect it will take serious equipment and many hours of research to find any shortcomings in either of these injector enhancing applications. But then IS there a difference worth noticing?
Here's a real stretch--anybody run both types of injectors of the same power level on similar trucks?
Okie Dokie, now I've talked to J. R. We discussed EDM and EH and 7-hole and 14-hole SHOWERHEADS
Basically the EH cuts by mechanical abrasion (micro-blasting is how I think of it) and EDM cuts electrically (electric micro-torch maybe). The EDM _may_ enhance atomization of fuel by retaining sharper angles, but I have no proof of that. Pay your money and take your chances. Anyway I never heard of anybody with 100+ HP injectors walking around crying about it.
So like the feller in the chopper with the machine gun said, "GET SOME!!!"
