Just looking for the best price on some new motor mounts for my truck. Gonna be doing the oil pan gasket this weekend and thought I would do the mounts since the engine has to be raised a bit.

Called the dealer and they want $100 for EACH mount, so are there any other places that would sell them cheaper? Napa did not carry them at all.

Thanks, Joe

Nope-

Dealer only. I would take the mounts and it looks like you could possibly make your own rubber for the inside of the mount since the factory one is not totally solid

You might give Piers a call. Not sure they sell them, but they do sell many everyday parts that they don't list.

If not try a Cummins dealer.

I called both Cummins and Piers and they both did not carry any mounts. They both told me it is a dealer only thing, so I guess it's just another one of those parts that Dodge gets us all on. Guess I will be heading to the dealer and grabbing my ankles for some new mounts today. #@$%!

I bought a pair for a 92 at Carquest, similar to Napa. Had them in a storage warehouse, came in on the truck next day. About $12 each if I recall correctly.

Jeez! $12 each! I think I am gonna call a Carquest and see if they have any. Napa couldn't get them for some reason, guess I might call them again and talk to someone else there.

Hope I can find 'em for that price as $24 for the pair is better than $200 from the friggin' stealership. :-laf

They may not be the same mounts. The ones in this 92 were the old flat syle like the 70's V8 gassers used. I think the newer ones sit in a heavier cast mount and may be round. Be sure you get the right ones.

They've started making these parts overseas now and the price has dropped dramatically. Brake rotors are another good example. Best of luck.

Well, I called Carquest and they didn't even have a listing for them. Napa didn't have them either after I called again and talked to someone else.

I guess I will keep looking for a couple more days then I am gonna have to bite the bullet and go with thee dealers mounts. :( Oh well, I guess if they are the only ones who carry new ones, then so be it.

Not looking good partner. I called Napa as well as Cummins NW and both sent me to the dealer. Looks like you'll have to visit the 4 foot high door of the dealer :(

Well, went to the dealer after work today and picked up my motor mounts.

Got the for a little cheaper than the $100 each the guy had originally quoted me. But when the parts guy brought them out, they were mysteriously missing the larger of the two bushings that are on the front of the mounts. Well, as the parts guy had told me(this wasn't the guy that ordered them for me) this was perhaps an easy piece to miss when special ordering the mounts. I guess the mounts have more than one part number for the bushing that goes on the front of the mount.

So I went ahead and bought them, and the nice parts guy must have given me his personal cost as I only paid $65 for each mount. :D Oo.

He went ahead and put a order in for the larger bushing and hopefully it will arrive tomorrow, but I guess if worse comes to worse I can just re-use my current ones as the main reason I bought them was due to the rear thinner bushing being totally trashed and crushed on both sides. The thicker bushing I apparently had to get separate, was $11 each, so that wasn't bad. Glad to hear they weren't like $30 or something for the simple piece of rubber that they are.

Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know about my dealer experience tonite and it was a pleasant one, I hope the rest of my parts visits are as pleasant as this one for future preventative maintence issues.
