ordering gauges --i really like the look of the autometer-but they dont make a fp gauge --a little feedback would be apprecaited-thanks in advcance-marcel:confused:

What ever brand you choose I suggest you buy from Geno's. If there's any kind of problem or you just change your mind, they'll take them back. If it's their fault they pay all shipping charges and always do rite by you.

I'm not affiliated - just a very happy customer.

We have the Di-Pricol made to match the trucks instruments with black or chrome bezel in complete kits. Colored Pillar mounts are included with all the pieces needed to install gauge and great instructions.

Diesel Power products gauge instructions

I bought mine from these folks, and the instruction set is first rate! The gauge set works perfectly, and the install was relatively painless. Customer service is also great- the gauge pillar mount is painted, and it scratched, and they had the right paint numbers to get touch up paint at the dealer. I like the DiPricol gauges, although at night, they are brighter than the dash gauges, and are still white face instead of the reverse look of the dash. I like it, and in the daytime, they are a perfect match.

Now for the bad- the a-pillar mount... this thing doesn't fit perfectly, and needs some trimming, which I did poorly. And, you can see wires through the window, which wasn't supposed to happen. Since it is painted, install gorilla (me) knocked off some paint which had to be touched up. And of course, the grab handle had to come off...

I am needing to do some gauges. I would like to EGT, Trans and boost but I do not want to remove grab handle. Any pillar mounts/ combo gauges that will retain grab handle? I can do without boost but EGT and trans are must haves.

FYI I love the little cubby under radio so installing gauges there is not in cards for me nor on top of dash as I think those just don't look right.

Eric_77,

Currently we have a single pillar mount for EGT that keeps the handle, but no 2-gauge sets that keep the handle. We are looking into dash mounts which when available should work great to keep the handle, mount the gauges and won't block visibility.

I think anything less then the autometer your wasting your money. I have isspro and although they work, they are hard to see, especially at night. I am going to take them out and go with the AM ultra lite series. They have a wide sweep version that is very nice. also they might be a little pricey, but you do get what you pay for. I have used autometer meany times in other projects and had great results, wish I would have known what I know now. Back when I purchased my guages for the dodge, everyone said go with isspro, so I did. Oh well, I'll just put them in a yard sale, and sell them to the ford guys.

Have you looked at x-monitor guages? I have ordered but not yet installed. they are costly but let you mount on pillar and keep handle.
