As much as I hate to say it, I think Banks will be the first to bomb the new engine. They have a huge headstart with the Sidewinder Project.

What do you think??

As a side note, I see why Banks has to charge so much for there stuff. They have one big bunch of shops and stuff to support.

I have been inside the Banks' facility where they build these custom projects..... all I can say is their craftsmanship and attention to detail is absolutely first rate - you just stand there drooling and with your jaw on the ground:--)

It's a beautiful thing... ...

I really never looked much at Banks because I wanted more power, but looking at there site is impressive.

Look at this

Some how they got rid of the stock air horn... and fit a regular valve cover on the new common rail engine. .

I know the engine is missing some important stuff, like radiator hoses, but it is still very nice looking...

Well guys I was bored this AM so I surfed over to one of our fav bombing business sites and look what I found...

That is an injector for the common rail engine... taken apart so it can be bombed... . heheeeh

See it at www.dieseldynamics.com

From all accounts I have read/seen, they are useing a 24v ISB, and not the common rail (ISBe) in that truck, at least in that pic.

TDK- Take a look at the injectors tube connections in the pic, they are the new style, see how the lines go into the sides. You can also see some of the plumbing for the common rail on the pic. I think when they re worked the head they set it up for the Classic look so they could sell the big hoss to all us 24v guys.

I for one hope they do well, even if they are Banks they are Diesel :D

Thanks for the link to that thread, I missed it.....

JR,

I see what your talking about with the injectors lines. I missed that before, but the way that article reads, it is the old ISB. One way or another, Banks is starting to look like they are trying to pull a fast one on somebody.
