It only happen at a slow speed when im turning into a driveway or some sort of sharper turn, it never occurs going down the highway. It almost feels like there is a spool in the rearend, it like its in 4wd just not as intense or a shake, more like driving on marbles. its a 94 1ton dually 5spd 4wd. has anyone has any sort of similar issue or and idea as to what it could be.

Sounds like front axle u-joints to me as well. If it's a limited slip rear diff it could be time to change the diff fluid. Does it happen regardless of which way you turn the front wheels? Try going same speed in a parking lot and turn the wheels one way then the other. If determined to be the one of the front u-joints do both of them. Also, check hub bearings in the front.

All the above are good suggestions. My first thought was your front axle u-joints, but I am leaning towards the rear fluid/FRICTION ADDITIVE, since you are feeling it in the rear. If your up to date on your rear end service, I would just put a tube or two of the friction additive. Please keep us updated on your findings.

If problem is not obvious, use an infrared temp gu to isolate. The additional heat of a defective component will be obvious.

i just changed the wheel bearing on the passengers side, and at the moment it is apart getting ball joint on the same side. the truck did it when i got it about a month ago and just recently changed the rear diff fluid, and noticed it getting worse. i didnt know i needed to add any additives to the oil. but once i get it back up and going, ill add the additive and see it it help. thanks for all the information

i changed the front passengers ball joint and added the diff additive at the same time and one of the two fixed it. thanks

If you don't have a limited slip (clutch type) rear there's no need for friction modifier. If you're not sure you can check the diff code on the door or under hood and the dealer can tell you. If there's no code stickers the dealer should be able to tell you based on the VIN. Glad the problem was fixed either way.
