Power Poll

Seriously thinking about running RED

Thought this might be interesting since the other poll doesn't allow you answer two questions.

If you answer yes please post a reply to which state it was in.

answered poll but..............

There wasn't a second question. I voted yes and it went straight to the results. It was in Louisiana.

Checked in Iowa

My buddy and I were pulling a trailer with tractor down I-35 in Iowa two years ago. He had a 40 gal fuel tank in the bed of his truck... no red though.

Arkansas, Every March there is a 6 day auction in Stuttgart called Backgate auction. LOTS of farm equipment of all types along with general auction stuff.

A couple of years ago on the way to the auction I had to go thru a roadblock one morning, they ran a small 1/8 or so dia. clear plastic tube down the filler neck and withdrew a sample for visual inspection. No big deal since I was legal, but there were a lot of upset folks in line.

Been checked checked 3 times in Alabama, twice in roadblocks and was pulled over with the blue lights one time. Talked to a farmer that ran the fuel and it cost him about $3,000. Don't believe he saved that much by running the wrong fuel. I ran a tank of it to see how my truck would act, but didn't know how bad the fine was- won't do it again. Kenny

I have a friend that runs it all the time in his MBZ. I have told him a few times about the fine and he says "I have been running it since '79 and haven't been ck'd yet". Good luck to him I say!
