whos' getrag transmission conversion kit

whos kit did you use to convert from a getrag to nv5600

or nv4500 how complete was the kit and how was the service

anything i need to look out for?

I am using the conversion kit from Standard Transmission in Ft. WOrth

for my conversion. Drivetrain has a conversion kit as well. One bit of info that I picked up at Standard was that the supposedly new brass synchros for the G360 will scratch the gears... . but, either way Standard or Drivetrain can set you up with a conversion... I am not sure if there are others out that offer the kit... those are just the two that I know about.

blumenthol out of Oklahoma offers one, as does dan @ quad 4x4, I beleive advanced adapters also offers one complete not just the sdapter bell housing. look around at them one said you have to get your rear driveshaft shortened and the others say nothing of the matter. I beleive it was high impact or drive train, Quad 4x4 has a brand new updated transmission kit, as well as rebuilt with a video and all the parts included it looks kind of out of the ball park till you start looking in to the price of the other things you going to need that arent in the kits. then you gotta figure its going to save you a whole lot of time and it might make the difference wether you get to take your truck to work monday or your riding with your buddy.
