Any opinions on a Green Filter? AFE?

New Turbo

I was thinking of doing this to save some scratch. I was going to get a 4" downpipe, connect it to a 4 to 5 inch resonator and then run 5" to the axle, flexpipe over it to a 5" tip in back. I can weld it halfway decently, or just use band clamps and weld hangers on. 5" is overkill, but I think it will sound better. See any problem with this?Oo.

I did a 5" on my 95, don't use flex it looks cheap, and it will be hard to make the radius to go over the axle. I used 2,45deg. elbows and 1, 90deg. to go over the axle, but I didn't use a res. . The sound is AWESOME!!!!!

Did mine with surplus 4" . 085" wall 304SS. high VAC tubing. The stuff works great if you can find it (most of the time you can get the mandrel bends also. ) I used 45s and TIG welded it all together. Also used all the stock mounts (copied in SS. ). Sounds *****IN :D (kitty and Muff GONE;) )

My friend here at work built his own on a 2500 4x4 Long Bed. Pretty simple really. His downpipe doesn't go as low as usual and he just ran a straight 4" pipe length all the way out the back with a 45 degree elbow at the end for a turn out. I didnt believe he didn't use a hump section over the axle but it looks like it has plenty of clearance and shouldn't come in contact. I cant do that because I have the 2WD and it wont clear much at all :(

Ok well I have done both single pipe out the back and then built my stacks myself. First, make sure that if either you buy a down pipe or just cut the OEM downpipe make sure cut it before it flares out (to make room for the cat and muffler) second flex pipe works ok for striaght pieces but I recommend just using pipe. Secondly if youre looking to save money, I bought all my pieces through napa, their local warehouse should have everything in stock. I got my 3" to 4" reducer through them when I ran the single pipe out the back. I now have a 4" down pipe so I didnt need one as I stayed with 4" stacks. If you look at the my truck in readers rigs, you will see that at the moment I have flexpipe running under the frame, I am going to 'hard' plumb it over the frame in the next few weeks. This is just my $. 02

reduaram, I patched together a decent 5" system for my 4x2 with the help of Rip Rook & Friends last year.

I used a 4-5" reducer, section of straight 5", large straight-through muffler, and to go over the rear axle I connected together a 45* behind the muffler, then a 90* then two more 45* to angle out the back. Finished off with a short straight piece for the tailpipe. Take a look at this picture:

EDIT FOR THE TENTH TIME

Since NEITHER using the IMG or URL functions works, both manually or automatically, you must copy the URL above and paste it in the address bar yourself to see the picture I've been trying to get you to see for the last half hour

EDIT FOR THE 15th TIME OK I gave up and just pasted a link to my whole album, so might as well enjoy my whole Ram while you're at it
