Who's modded thier 06? just bought mine!

Ok I hate the search engine so I'll ask a probable beaten question. I just sold my 99 ctd with my gauges and mods but my new 06 dont know much about it as far as doing mods to it. What do the 06 owners recommend doing. Obviously my 4 main gauges need to come back (pyro, transmission temp, boost, fuel pressure). Any others? Now that I'm done with the prone to die vp44 what do I need to concerned with? I already rebuilt my 99's transmission for the mods how is the new 48re. What upgrades work well with with the common rail engines like injectors and such? Sorry for going over something that probably has been beaten to death but I need to order stuff now so I can get all my mods done before the first payment needs to be made (and the wife steals my checkbook back). And with that let mods list fly!

I did EGT, transmission temp, & boost gauges on the pillar.



Had a Quadzilla XZT box, then got a BullyDog programmer. Can't use both together ot the transmission slips, so I've got Bullydog on 90hp level.



Otherwise I don't feel I can really do any other power mods without upgrading my transmission.

I'd highly recommend getting some miles on it before you go bombing it. Make sure it has no bugs from the factory and get it broken in at least a little. After you bomb it, possibly no more warrantee on affected systems!!!

* On-board battery tender (will get done when I can get my hands on two Marinco outlets to wire in with the block heater cord also)

* ISSPRO Boost, Exhaust Temp, Fuel Pressure and Transmission Temperature Gauges in overhead mount. (I'm stalling on this project! Not looking forward to the work but I know I will like the result!)



"Someday" projects as funds allow:

* Front Bumper/ Winch Mount (have Warn 9000Ti already taken off 2000 Ram)

* KORE Suspension

* Better tires

* Clutch Upgrade

* Turbo Upgrade

* and who knows what else!

Thanks guys I wanted to hear whats been done and whats been tried. Tabacco the dealer installed your injectors?!?! Havent heard of that one before. I was going to do my injectors in my 99 next but as you see new truck before that happened. Who else has done injectors in an 06 or late 05 and how happy are you with them?
