Well, it looks like I'm going to have to replace my water pump (which is great, considering the sub-zero high temps. forecasted for this weekend) since it conveniently decided to start leaking. Does anyone know where to get a good price on a new one? I would really like to stay away from rebuilt pumps if possible. NAPA online lists one for around 60. 00, but it's probably a reman. I called the dealer and got a price around 200. 00 for a new unit. I think that's a little rediculous for such a small, simple water pump. Has anybody found a better price? Are they interchangeable through the years?

Have you tried calling Cummins. I have found that they are very reasonable and you sure can't beat the quality. They will ship it to you if you aren't close. good luck.

I would definitely second the recommendation for Cummins it should be less expensive. Remember to have your Cpl & Serial numbers handy, they'll ask for them.....

What is a Cpl? Can the numbers be found without removing the water pump? I'd like to get the part before I remove the old one if possible. Fortunately there are several truck repair facilities near me that service Cummins. Hopefully they can get me what I need. Thanks for the ideas!

Thanks everyone, I found a decent price and swapped it out lickedy-split. Hardest part was cleaning up the mess!
