Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Who's running DDII's? Need help

Back and forth I go. After searching and reading for many hours I still don't know what to do.



I got a set of Piers 370's and after reading many treads; lots of guys like them, but the smoke is high and EGT's clime fast too. I live in High country and I don't want to install the 370's just to jerk them out and then install something else.



Anyway, how do you like the power, smoke, economy of the DDII's? Haven't seen many running them except for the 24valvers.

Power is good I believe rated @ 80 HP increase. Smoke and economy depend on whether or not I'm wearing my cement shoes or not. :--)

Thanks for the reply. Did you look at any other injectors before you bought the DDII's? And if you don't mind what kind of milage do you get when driving normal?

I hate these kind of answers Lowell ... but there is a great comparison post somewhere. I'd guess it's either on the Product or this forum.



If I remember right, there was very little difference between the 2.



I've got 300hp injectors & I'm @ commuting between 4500 & 5000'. Smoke is good. Wanna swap?

I talked to Al at Piers and he said that there is about 20-25 hp more for the 370's. --370's a little smoke at idle, DD II's none. Milage he said would be a tad better with DDII's. Egt would be way up their with 370's when towing or getting on it. Better with DDII's



Then I ask him if it were his truck what would he do. He said he would go with the 370's because of the power.



Yes I want power, but with that, fair economy, lower egts and less smoke would be good too. But the Power?????



Anyway, I'm back and forth, back and forth. I decided not to do anything until I'm totally set. I don't want to look back and wish I had done the other.
