My truck stalls if I quickly let off the accelerator. It mostly happens in parking lot maneuvers, but it occasionally happens on the road, if I have to accelerate then let go suddenly.

It otherwise runs well.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Dave

How does it run when you first start it cold? Is the idle erratic or seem to be higher or noisier than it once was?

If so then it's probably time for a new FCA.

It really runs well aside from this, and a winter time loss of power issue that I won't know if I've solved until winter.

I think you replied to me on that issue previously. I've replaced the transmission governor solenoid as well as the APPS, with no noticeable improvements.

What is an FCA? It may be easier for me to keep swapping in some new parts than actually taking it in for service.

I've been wondering about buying some kind of scan tool, and someone else suggested I might need a New ECU.

How can I accurately diagnose if either of these things needs replacing before I continue replacing perfectly good parts?
