The other day while trying to find an erratic boost issue I found a small hole in the rubber hose from the boost elbo to wastegate, so I fixed it and now the wastgate apparently opens at 33psi and falls to 30-31 at wot in 6th gear not near the 37psi wastgated I used to see, is this all the boost elbow from Edge is good for, I have plenty of fuel and if I cap the wastgate I get over 40psi, could my diaphram in my wastegate be screwing up?If this is all I can expect then is a adjustable boost elbow my only option, to get back to the 38psi range?

Thanks Jared

P. S. new fuel filter and 7psi fuel pressue at wot

Just pressure tested the intercooler and piping system for leaks it's good then I capped the wastegate and test drove it and the boost falling problem went away . Boost went to 43 at wot and held there so why is my wastegate so sensitive now. I would like to keep the wastegate and regulate it to 37 psi. Is there a problem with the diaphram in the wastegate os does all sound well. The boost elbow allows it to boost to 33psi and fall to a wastegated 31psi and hold doesn't this sound low?

Thanks Jared

maybe it wasn't working properly--if the hose had a hole in it and it was bleeding away air that would activate the wastegate the wastegate might not have been opening all the way possibly---chris
