Alright I am getting fed up with this crap thought I had it all fixed it was fine for a month now the other day start truck in morning it cranks and cranks for 5 seconds or so go to work start and end of day same thing. Next couple of days I barely have to turn the key to start it go out this morning and the piece of #$%@ is doing it again I am lost it was 75 degrees here this morning. Why is it only sometimes if it has an airleak you would think it would do it everyday WTF I am clueless and its getting on my last nerve. I had vp44 replaced 2 months ago a couple of days later I noticed it thought maybe it was intake horn gaskets because they were torn and friend forgot to order new ones with vp44 so they came late put them on and its been fine for a month now it started again what gives

Hard start can be caused also by the electronics.

When you crank the engine, does the tach move?

It should give you a reading even while you're cranking.

Watch the wait to start light. Does it come on? Does it anything other than it's normal operation? ( Longer, shorter )

Last thought...

Have you ever payed attention to the fuel level in the tank? Maybe you get the hard start with a certain fuel level?

Dunno, just thinking out loud...
