I mean really?
My truck is way past warranty and so is my wife's Grand Cherokee. The regulator on her drivers side window crapped out last Thursday. We left town for the weekend so first thing this morning I googled the parts description and found it at rockauto.com for around $80. I called the dealer today for a price quote for the part alone, no install. They quoted me $252 and change, add in tax, and I was looking at $272. I thought that was recockulous! I asked the guy why there was such a price difference between him and the other guy and he gave me the Mopar schpeel. He said the quality of the Mopar part is far superior . . . I paused . . . and then said . . . um, "I'm replacing a Mopar part that broke, I can replace the part THREE more times and it still will be cheaper than buying your part once". He didn't have a response.
So, why should I buy Mopar?
