GLTDR Drag racing July 19 US 131

Carlisle, KY pulls, Aug. 9th

Will there be another work/get together day? I'd like to try and change my wheel bearing assembly and rotors, and need all the expert advise available.

Paul

We'll have to schedule one I guess.

I guess we'll have to schedule one Paul. I'm pretty busy the next month or so (have to clean up my Dad's house that just sold), but I'm ready for another diesel event:D

I think my valves could use some adjusting at 90 k miles, and a few other things, short shift kit, bypass filter, mud flaps, etc.

Love to go to Beautiful Wisconsin.

Just an idea.

I was kinda of thinking on hosting one in late Sept. , BUT we could do one sooner too. (I'll be gone the first two weeks in Sept. ).

I am kind of on the edge of nowhere, and it would probably make a long drive for everybody, except me. Well, I guess it would be good for the Ill, and IA guys. I am in Boscobel, WI at the corner of 61 and 133 on the north edge of town.

We have a small local (cheap) motel within walking distance(across the street) from our shop. There is also a quaint little RV park that borders the shop. There is a New Super 8 just down the street with an indoor pool. We have an A&W, a Dairy Queen, a Bowling Alley that has good (bar food) and three nice cafes with excellent food for those that like a home cooked meal. As far as shopping goes, we really dont have any neat little shops that the wives might like.

We have enough land at our shop to accomodate enough trucks and tents. Our shop is big enough for one... maybe one and a half, and probably six or seven on the gravel, and maybe a hundred in the grass... you get the idea.

I imagine we could cook out, like grill some hamburgers, brats potato salad, macaroni, Nicks chili, etc. I can get a couple of grills/ picnic tables and we have a fridge at the shop already. Or, we could just go eat somewhere... whatever.

As far as tools go, I have a couple of welders, (stick and mig). A torch, small drill press, grinders, saws etc. A pretty decent set of hand tools, and other specialty tools. I could get a small plasma arc and a hydraulic press if needed, but I have to know ahead of time. As far as fluid changes go, let me know and I will make provisions to accomodate you, so you wont have to take it back with you.

Or, we could just go to somebody else's house. Its all up to you guys.

Eric you know me to well!!

Spending time on the truck is way more fun than farm work it doesn't pay very well but still... the bright side is that the only piece of equipment that has not let down in the last month is my TRUCK !! By the way Mother Nature is cruel master

Sounds like a plan to me. Jim, it's your turn. Maybe, I might have my twins by then. The clutch will hopefully be done by then too. If not, Extreme1, how much can you bench press?:D

Work party

Is that a contradiction in terms, work and party?

Hello all I am new to Wisconsin, been here about 2 weeks. I was thinking of heading up north to Josh Peters party, anyone else attending? I came from the Pacific Northwest and am a member of NWBombers. I would be interested in turning wrenches, burny beef or whatever someone needs a hand doing. I am a Machinery Tech by trade so getting dirty doesnt bother me!:D

If anyone interested in Bombvoying to Josh's place or this future Bomb party... . I live just on the outskirts of Milwaukee, the Wind Lake area.

Just drop me line and let me know.

:D

I'm not able to make the KDP party in MN this weekend, because I'll be out of town. Could we try and get the tools for this project at our next gathering wherever it might occur? There might be some that would be needing the same fix. Just a thought.

Boscobel sounds great!I'm heading to Josh's this weekend, but another bomb, workday, party would be great .

Bomb Weekend

Open for ideas... I was looking at the weekend of Sept. 20 or Sept 27. It is primarly up to the attendees. I'll post a poll along with the new post. Whichever date gets the most votes (by Aug 16th) will be the weekend we have it. This would give us a little time [between] the race at Union Grove that is in early Oct.

I vote for the 20th.

That should give me enough time to have my clutch done and my twins installed, so I can show off. lol. :D

Of course, I may have to do the head gasket by then too.
