Has anyone widened their clutch pedal so pressure on one's foot is distributed over a larger area? I'm having some problems with my left foot and it kills me every time I drive my truck now. There is plently of room to extend the clutch pedal an inch or two to the left. Are there any kits? Has anyone done this? The pedal is plastic, so I can't just weld a piece of diamond plate steel to it.

Figure out how wide you can go without any rubbing or clearance issues during full stroke of clutch travel when being used, then you can make yourself a larger pedal and use a square u-bolt to attach it tight enough it wont move but also so that it wont prevent full movement. That should get you buy until you could find someone to 3d print you a new pedal with wider foot pad area.

Blakers,

Are you running a stock clutch?

Two things that increase the pedal effort and just to put into the discussion. The bearing slides on the guide tube. With time that grease ain't what it used to be so pedal effort goes up. And a traditional (non self adjusting clutch like the stock G56) clutch at the end of its friction material thickness the pedal efort also goes up. so replacing with a stock system, cleaning the guide tube, clean and lube the fork and a good bearing with grease in the bore and the pedal effort will be back to stock.

And if it comes down to it, I have one more trick but that depends on your answer to which clutch you have.

Gary, I am running a South Bend dual disc clutch with an NV5600. When I installed it, it actually required less foot pressure than the original stock clutch. I don't believe my clutch pedal effort is excessive; the problem is more my foot. I see a doc next week, so hopefully it is something he can address.

Thanks! That's a great idea. I'll take a closer look at it. The pedals in my truck have always been on the narrow side compared to other trucks I've owned.
