My wife gave me Permission to Upgrade!!!:D :D :D SOS

Now I need your help and suggestions. I have $1000. 00 available to start my upgrades. My truck is basically stock and my first item to aquire is a set of Gauges - Trans. temp, Pyro & Boost. Trying to decide which brand gauge to buy. Interested in the Di-Pricol from Geno's.

Now the next problem:

WHAT NEXT!!!!

I have been thinking about the following:

1) Air Bags

2) 4" exhaust

3) RV Injectors

4) Mag-Hytec Trans Pan

Any and all suggestions would be a huge help. Need to do this fast too before she changes her mind... . Oo.

Thanks ahead of time

Scott

Edge EZ

It's good news to get the go ahead from the CFO! :D If your are interested in go power, I'd go for an Edge EZ before 275 injectors. I wouldn't spend the money on the trans pan unless your're going to do the rest $$$. 4 inch exhaust will help with some EGT drop if you do performance upgrades like the EZ or better. If you need the bags, do you have a choice? It will make the truck ride harder without the load. My nod would go to the EZ.

Oh you can bet I hugged her and took her out for a great evening too. Very lucky to have her and she puts up with all of my craziness when it comes to my Ram Cummins Diesel!! :D  :D

Have been hearing lately that it is better to have a Fuel Pressure gauge then some of the other gauges. Anyone have input on this?

Shall we say the lift pump has a higher incidence of failure that the TDR members would like to see (probably an understatement but I'm trying to be nice). So yes the fuel pressure gage might save you the cost of an injection pump. If you are going to tow or go very far with almost any power upgrade, you should have a pyrometer. Add a boost gage for the power modifications. I have an auto, so I have a Trans temp gage too besides other stuff. If you were going to go very far with some type of box, I've heard a lot of good things about Blue Chips FMS box. It has built in gages and all kinds of features you might like. You can do a search on FMS or ask some of the members that have one.

WIFE...

This is what I got from the wife the other day "Since we got that new clutch, is there anything we can do to make the truck faster?" This is what she said after she could not resist the temptation of 5x5 on the comp box and killed our stock clutch. So it looks like some DDIII's are in the future plan. I wish all the decisions were that easy to get past the "boss".

2nd Gauges, I have the white faced Di-Pricols and love em !

EGT, Boost, Fuel Pressue if 24V, Trans Temp both stick & auto

3rd at least a 4" Exhaust

4th Air intake upgrade,

if you like a little noise MEGA CANNON works well !

5th Go nuts Bombing !!:D :D ;)

first four in that order is a must, get the basics done first, then go for the REAL power . But hey thats my 2 cents.
