Wife needs help, well thats a complete different story, but anyway she developed a fuel leak while traveling. I wasn't able to get to her so other people looked at the truck but couldn't find out where the leak was coming from. Had to take the truck to a mechanic. It came down to a split in the fuel filter. Mech. said he had never seen one split like this one. The filter had a split about 2" long around the outside of the seam that joins the top and the bottom of the filter together. Wish I could post a picture. The filter was a WIX 33402.

maybe the overflow valve stuck closed:confused:  anyone else?? take alot of pressure to split a filter... ... unless it was defective from the start.....

I'm going to take the filter back to where I bought it. Mechanic thought it could have been defective. Where it split, it would take a huge amount of pressure to do this.
