I didn't need to paint the block, it was removed from the truck 50k after rebuild because the rings didn't seat. #@$%! I have advertised it a little for sale, but now I'm glad it didn't sell right away:-laf
My wife had one when I met her in '67. Because of the Army moves and three children it was sold. For the last 20+ years I have been receiving flak about the car her dad had bought her, so I found one and one day she will have another non-air conditioned car with a plexiglass half-roof (TX summers, oh boy!) and a 6 volt positive ground electrical system.
That is one heavy duty frame, looks like it is boxed and Ram was braging about theirs when they finally went to a boxed frame. Looks like it would pack a Cummins no problem, however a shiny 312 would do nicely
This one will be pure stock. I have two complete 239 V8s and a brand new, in the original 1953 shipping crate, engine block. I have never done a restoration before and I have found out it is much more intense than a custom like my '67 Chev. I do also have a parts frame from a '54 station wagon that will be the base for a rat rod sometime in the future. I don't think the suspension would support a 6bt, but a 4bt isn't out of the question.
