Not sure if this is in the right place...

Clutch safety switch?

Well the DW has joined the ranks of the diesel nuts. She just purchased a 2011 Jetta TDI with the 6 spd DSG Auto Transmission and the Navigation system.

She told me no gauges and the car is not to be improved upon like I did to my 2008 Cummins "BlueTech Diesel" .

Jim, congrats on the new VW TDI Jetta. We have an '06 Jetta DSG 6spd auto, beige/gold exterior and beige leatherette interior. My wife drives fast but gets 39-44 mpg all day long. She says it's the safest car she's ever had, which includes Toyotas, Nissans, and Hondas. Find yourself a competent import/vw mechanic shop to do the DSG fluid changes. VW will charge you around $660, and our import mechanic shop did it for under $300. Shop around, it pays. I'm sure these diesels will run for 300,000 miles plus with preventative maintenance. Enjoy!

A much better choice IMO than some of the other "green" options. Just think, for the price of two TDI's, you could have had a Chevy Volt- provided the dealer was not "upstickering" it as some have been reported doing.
