NW Bombers dinner get together

Mid-Valley Oregon Bomb party, June 3rd & 4th

Heading for Idaho next week.

I want to take hwy 225 north of Elko to Wild Horse Crossing campground on my way to Mountain Home Id. .

Is that road 225 ok to tow my 30 ft 5th wheel?

Anyone know about that road ?

Desertryder, 225 out of Elko is a good road but certainly not fast in some places.

there are a few bends, pretty could climb, out of Elko and again above Wildhorse Resevoir. Great scenery, I'm a native Nevadan Oo. You can get fuel at the new store north of Owyhee if you need it and when I was there last it was competitive with Elko. I don't know where that campground is but if you are not in a hurry the road is fine. Good fishing along the way at Wildhorse and the river in the canyon. Have fun :)

ps bad road in the winter!

Thanks for the heads up info.

Now I need to get a 2 day fishing license for Nevada and I am all set.

Hope that road dont kill my Dodge as I pull that mombo trailer of mine up to the campground.

Thanks

thanks for the offer but 2 kids 2 dogs and a huge trailer and an empty wallet might lead us both to drinkin earlier than usual.

I am figuring about $1400 in diesel costs let alone the rest of the money we will be spending in Idaho.

Hoping to be riding our dirt bikes in the south hills area by Twin Falls on June 17th.

Then serching twin and Pocatello for our new community.

We plan on moving in 2009 when I retire.

Desetryder, considering where you are and where you are going, the pull out of Elko is the least of your problems. If you are coming over Donner Summit and thru Reno you will have most of the elevation for the rest of the trip thru Nevada. Have fun and good luck on your move. :)

I leave Tulare county at 12 midnite and stop at Donner summit about 5 am.

Jump in the trailer and Take a big nap and then make breakfast in the camper right in the truck stop.

From that point on we are on vacation and I got past sacramento before the sun came up so I don't have to see all those ugly people.
