Hope this is the right forum. Has anyone used the 'Maximam Flow Kit' from Wildcat Diesel? This is a kit to maximize fuel flow from lift pump thru the filter and on to the VP 44. I talked to Rod and he said relocation of pump not necessary with his new kit. On backorder now. Lets hear some opinions. thanks.

Stainless braided -8 an lines?

If that is what your calling the Maximum Flow kit then I have that kit it works and is easy enough to install I put on a new OEM lift pump at the same time so I can't tell ya how much it helps but my fuel pressure is 14. 5 at idle and never below 12 psi wot with box on. This maybe a good fix depending on how much power you are going for but for me I think it is temporary till I go to the FASS when I get bigger injectors and the OEM lift pump gives it up again.

They said at Wildcat diesel it was ok for HP up to 320 or so, and I will not be over that figure. So maybe it will solve my problems. thanks for the reply

HP estimate

Piston slapper,

From the looks of your signature, looks like we are running about the same setup. What would you estimate your HP to be? I have never dyno'd mine. I am running Hot Power Edge(40-80-120) thanks.

I tried to cover it here:

Short answer: I really like it and prefer not having another electric pump to worry about, no extra wires, no extra filter.

It handles all the fuel my DDUFM will push through DD3's. I'm overfueled now, so my HP number is actually a bit LOWER than the Max Flow kit will support EASILY.

It takes pretty good acceleration to get down to 10psi. Mine idles at 13 and cruises at 12 with 35,000 on the LP.

And if I did decide to add a pusher later on, it won't have to work through any silly banjos.

For your HP inquiry, I made 210/454 stock and 343/799 with DDUFM, 5", BHAF on a Mustang dyno in June of this year.

I've had this kit on for two weeks and am more than pleased (thanks Rod) This replaced Ray T's banjos, and an otherwise stock system. I previously had no concerns about idle and cruise pressures, but with the comp on anything from 3/3 to 5/5 I could easily pull down to 2-4 psi. Now, my 15psi electric autometer guage is sometimes pegged at ~16 on cruise, and can't pull it below 8-10 on 5/5. Pressure readings are steady and much more "stable"... they used to jump around some. Pressure is read from the inlet to the VP. I've lost one VP already so this gives me some piece of mind.
