Does the Max flow kit eliminate the stock lift pump, in favor of a auxillary pump? And if not can you easily eliminate the lift pump and put a pump back by the tank and still use the filter up front, or add a pusher pump settup to the existing pump?Fixing to buy one if it is going to fit my plans, a buddy has a list of An fittings to retrofit the stock fuel system, and delete the stock lift pump in favor of a Holly Black set up, they may work as good for my needs. Hope I'm not being confusing

Thanks Jared ;) ;)

max flow kit does not eliminate the stock lift pump, it replaces the stock lines and banjo fittings ... from inlet of lift pump to inlet of vp 44 ... it is just lines and fittings ... love mine

Jared, There many a system that can be used. Me . . I run A PE 4200 Pump -8An Lines to the fuel filter and -6An Lines to the VP44 all which allowed me to deep six the stock lift pump. There is the FASS system , Fuel Preperator , Pusher systems , PE systems , Max Flow , Aeromotive , You name it . . whoah boy its out there. There are performance systems that support Huge injectors and death fuel boxes , and systems engineered to be the supposed last system you will ever need.

Really it comes down to what mods you use, plan to add and what your ultimate goal is. All In all the general consensus on the board here agree that 28-32 is the VP44's limit to inlet pressure. So with that in mind you can safely go out into the netland and check out what each has to offer , price , and what you feel comfortable installing.

Going to move this thread to the good ol Engine Prod's Section to grab some more input.

Thanks TTT I am trying to get a system I can upgrade and add a pusher pump set up to if the stock lp doesn't cut it, like with the Max Flow, want to delete the banjo bolts, with a pusher pump wired in to the LP, to a relay to pump doesn't this cause hard starting, because of the increased preasure. What is the volume of the stock LP, I know PSI is about 15.

Thanks Jared

I just installed the Max Flow kit and it's great. PM me for details if you want. With an EZ and DD2s, I can keep it over 11psi at all times WITH THE ORIGINAL LIFT PUMP.

Not bad if you ask me. High quality fittings.

JaMan,

I did as Justin and installed the Wildcat max flow kit. At WOT, I can't pull fuel pressure below 11 psi. Right now, all I have is a TTPM (EDM 1. 5s on back order). However, I suspect I won't pull pressure below 10 psi after adding the injectors.

There are many ways to improve/maintain acceptable fuel pressures from your LP. Fuel delivery modification/requirements will depend on your projected hp.

Justin's mods are somewhat like I have planned. I think the route taken will work good for this hp range.

No if the new LP will last 80K miles instead of 50K, I'll be happy.

Good luck.

Talked to Rod today, looks like the Max Flow is just what I need, and he told me hoe to modify it to delete the LP and add a pump at the tank later:) Only it's on back order:( Oh well good things comen to those who wait!

Thanks to all, Jared
