I am in need of new tires and would like to get new tires.

I am looking at the Terragripers 305 70 R16 Load Range E -- will these fit without hitting --- 2001 Dodge Ram Diesel 2500 Pickup

Tires I have now are the original Michelen 265 75/16's any help would be appreciated

thanks

from what i have read, a 305/70 "may" rub on the control arm at full lock of the steering. same with a 315/75 as they are about the same width. I have had no trouble running 285/75/16 (same height as a 305/70, just not as wide). Some have run 305's and 315's and claim no rubbing. Either way, the rub isn't bad and lots of guys run up to 315's on stock trucks.

285/75/16 tire all run around 3400 lb load rating as letter D.

They are wider but will not take air pressures as high as the letter E tires.
