I am contemplating putting 35 inch tires on my truck. Will they fit, height and width? The truck is stock height except a two inch front lift. I really don't want to put a higher lift on it, so if these won't fit, I'll settle for less.

tire fit

they will fit fine w/a 2" lift, they will rub slightly on the control arms at full steering lock if you have the stock wheels and not at all with aftermarket wheels.

They will fit but will rub lower link arm. It is a pain in the parking lots. It looks good but next time I might go with 295/75/16 Toyo or Nitto. Mine are on stock wheels. Aftermarket wheels change everything. They can rub at the back of the fenderwell depending on the backspacing.

Mine will only rub when the tires are new, the steering wheel is locked, & I'm going over a significant bump. Otherwise no.

stownsend,

I was able to fit 305/85R16's (note 85 series) 36" tall & 9" wide on the OEM wheel (6. 5 wide) w/ just 2" leveling springs on the front. I had absolutely NO contact anywhere at anytime.

Your wheels are probably wider w/ different offset so this is not a good example.

Mine rub the front mud guards in hard turns but I have Alcoa wheels and I'd rather have the slight rubbing than the paint chipped up by mud and rocks.

HEMI®Dart, where were you able to find 305/85X16s? I've been looking for a while but with no luck. The Denman Coyotes in that size are no longer available - Denman told me there just wasn't a market. What tires are these? Thanks!

Tulsa,

They are Denman Coyotes. They are about 7 years old. Bought them from National tire & wheel for $135 each. GREAT tire.

You are right. Denman is not making them anymore. I would have liked to try their newer 10 Ply tire too. They say maybe they will start making them again someday.

Well, drat! I guess I'll just have to go with 315/75s... Those Deman's sure look great, Hemi. I wish I would have got them a couple years ago when they were still available. However, the Michelins that came on mine are a little over four years old and they just don't seem to want to wear out. Of course, I'm only at about 62K (not towing or loads to speak of). The biggest challenge, of course, has been getting the Chief Accountant to understand the need for tires when these still have plenty of lilfe left in them!

Hemi Dart, nice looking truck! Love the color and the tires look great.

Okay, you've convinced me. The tires will fit. Once again, I can blame the TDR for truck-mod-coercion. (Honey, they made me. It wasn't my fault. ):D

Thanks for all of your input.
