Hey do any of you guys know if a 3rd gen factory cd player fit a 1998 ram.

I dont think so. Different bolt pattern + face plate is ovel corners.

Spend the money and get a NICE CD player!! get rid of the stock crap. They are alot cheaper than you might think (try ebay) and adapt very easily

i am going to install a factory indash cd from a 02 durango in my 96, i test fit it a couple days ago and it won't take much to mount up a little dremmel work and it should fit in, the wiring will need to be made up but that's no big deal ill take some pics when i get mine done
