Will 4WD rear shocks fit on a 2WD?

Well, I screwed up. I ordered shocks from Geno's and I ordered the wrong ones.



My 2WD is supposed to use Biletein P/N F4-BE5-C605-H0.



I mistakenly ordered P/N F4-BE5-C614-H0.



Can I use these anyway?

I believe they are the same shocks... depending on brand, they list the same shock for the rear.

I would call Genos or Bilstein to be sure.

I am sure that Genos will replace them with the right ones if they do not fit.

I think 2wd and 4wd truck shocks have different p/n's. I thought 4wd shocks were longer. I'd be sure to check w/Geno's before you try to install them.

I feel sure Geno's would take care of me, but if it's non necessary I'd rather save them (and me) the trouble.



I know how great Geno's is, but I'm not sure they would know without opening one of each & comparing. That's just too much to ask.



I can't seem to find the Mopar p/n's to see if they're the same or not.

I know the Monroe replacements I just ordered are the same between 2wd and 4wd (rear only). I asked this question a while back, since I dropped the rear to gain clearance for my 5vr... most aftermarket shocks are the same between the two.

I just got off the phone with Brandon at Geno's. Without hesitation he said yes there is a difference and he has the 605's in stock.



I had him put another pair on my charge card, so they will ship today or tomorrow. I'll ship the others back for a credit.



As usual, kudos to Geno's Garage and Brandon too. Seems like a real nice feller.

Another good reason to continue supporting my favorite truck related store, ahh really it is my favorite store period. I always buy my truck related stuff from Geno's.
