Will a 160 pump work on a 94 man. trans truck?

I have heard I currently have a "215" pump,-

I need to replace injector pump to get this truck back on the road quickly,

What are the differences between the 160 and 215 pump?

thanks for responding.

I believe it would work and run fine, but it would be a downgrade

you would lose some power with the smaller pump. What is wrong with the 215? Wanna sell it ? :-laf

Dave

The problem with my 215 pump is that it is pumping low fuel pressure to cylinders

1 and 4.

Low pressure as in lots of air bubbles that never bleed out, the other cylnders run fine.

Any help?

I may be confused a little, would a stock 94 manual trans pump be called a 175 pump, not a 215?

Is it the horsepower rating that gives the pump it's name?

94Ram,

If it is the stock pump on 94 a manual trans then it should be a 175 pump. Best to remove the throttle linkage on the left side of the pump and check the id numbers on the pump under the #2 delivery valve holder. Then you could be sure what pump you have. The 160 pump will work fine.

Jim,

Do you realize that if you lost #1 and #4 you would still be 580 HP :-laf
