Will HO ever be available in Calif?

Are there any plans to make the HO D3500 dually legal in Calif? If so , when?

Short answer - 2004. 5 with EGR.

Buy out of state then bring it back in after 7500 miles or buy used in a year or two. That's my thinking.

Yeah and get 4 "REAL" doors to boot, too . Tempting as that is, I think if I can talk the wife into it next year, it will be an out of state purchase for me, and I'l suffer the consequences if need be.

Oregon purchase of 2003 HO D3500 dually

I talked to the Calif DMV. It looks like I will have to have an Oregonian purchase the truck. Then after putting 7500 mile on it, I purchase it back. Get bill of sale with milage and register in Calif.



I plan to purchase in June of 2003. Hopefully by then it will be legal. At least I should be able to get a dealer installed pacbrake.



It is going to be the longest 8 months of my life.



The only other alternative is to find a repo out of state.

dalltucker, we have the same problem here in MA . What does Ford and GM do to make their trucks CA legal?
