Will I need a transmission upgrade for these BOMB's

I am going to put a EDGE EZ and a 4 inch exhaust and of course gauges (boost/EGT/transmission Temp) will I need any transmission mods for this?

CGoyette,

You can probually get away with no trans upgrades if you have just the EZ. If you add injectors then all bets are off. If you decide to upgrade your trans give DTT a call. I'm very pleased with their products and customer service as well as lots of other people on TDR. Happy BOMBing!

You should be just fine, listing exactly what you are planning on doing. I have the EZ on my truck and towed for a month before modifying my valve body, with no problems. Oh yea, added Ray's banjo-bolts Saturday also--does that count:D

Well I don't think we want our BOMB's going BOOM. To much dinero invested for all of that mess. I was just wondering if there was a new acronym for modifying our trucks, being born.

Just do it!

Just go ahead and upgrade your trans and conv if you have the funds. Then you don't have to worry about it. Not to mention how much more fun the truck is to drive! You may also find that for your particular use that you don't need as much power added once you can get the power you have to the ground. I have had a number of guys ask me if I turned up their eng. after the upgrade due to the stronger pull in the lower gears. My . 02. Good Luck whichever route you take. The upgrades will help the life of the trans. :D

CGoyette,
since your running 4. 10 gears, you'll be in better shape with the stock transmission with the EZ and 4 inch exhaust. You can go a litttle more than say someone with 3. 54's and tall tires, if that helps.
