I have the desire to keep a spare the same size as what I am rolling around on. I have a new set of tires coming. Toyo OC AT 285/75 R17. I would like to know if anyone has already tried to stow one of these where the factory spare hides? I do know there is not enough room for a 315/70 R17.

Anybody have experience with this?

Thanks

the diameter of the rim is different, but I have a 245/70R-19. 5". . it is equivalent to a 285/75-16" The problem is not the thickness, the problem is the diameter. . your tires will fit.

Seafish,

Are your Toyos 128S or 121S? I managed to find 5 of the 128 flavor and have been told they are no longer in production.

I'm not getting very good wear out of those tires, no where close to the orig. Michelins but I tow a lot.
I understand the new model is better.
