2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Will it fit?

I have a chance to buy a friend's '95 four wheel drive 3500 dually. His transmission was rebuilt about two years ago, with a heavy-duty torque converter and a switch that locks the torque converter in 2nd and 3rd gear. It also has larger valve body. The transmission on my '97 SRW 2500 four wheel drive has 320,000 original miles on it. I'm thinking of swapping the two transmissions (and some other goodies, like his torque plate, 4" exhaust, and exhaust brake). Will this work?

The 95 is a 47rh and the 97 is a 47re. The 95 has only electronic OD while the 97 has much more electronic controls. Don't think it would be a plug and play. Search the forum for more info. , I'm sure someone else has changed them out before. I'm really only knowledgeable with the 47rh. I'm sure the trans would fit but would require some other stuff to be switched as well.
