Will it fit ?

My dad has a 93 4WD, regular cab. He bashed the tailgate to un-repairable condition.
A fellow has a tailgate from an 89 first gen. Will it fit as a direct replacement ?
Wanted to ask first.

It SHOULD, but I don't know for certain. LMC Truck lists all the bed parts they have available as "81-93 Sweptline", they just don't list the Tailgate itself.

From 1981-1993 will interchange directly. The '72-80 won't fit from what I have heard. Can't attest to that.
