Any of you following the Tour de France race? Hoping for Lance to win again but he just got beaten badly in the individual time trial by Ullrich. The German was 2. 10 back and after today Lance is only about 34 seconds ahead. The time trial is Lance's strong point, as is the mountains, but he wasn't won a single stage yet.

I can't believe Tyler Hamilton is only 2. 59 behind Armstrong with a broken collar bone.

I sure hope he does again too. If anyone has interest, read his book, "It's not about the bike. " Really amazing.

Yep, I'm definitely hoping he wins. It looks like Jan Ullrich is going to be trouble after such a strong showing at the time trials today. Maybe Lance will get into the zone in time to pull it off!

His book is good read. Sounds like he doesn't quite have the fight in him to win this year. Heard his mariage is on the rocks which can't help either. I wish him well though and hope he can do it again, but either way, it's been an amazing story.

Well, Lance did it! Won the Tour today. It has been a stressful three weeks for me. Hope he wins again next year for 6 in a row.

Gotta lovit! an american winning the tour de france. Well everyone knows the french- they will accuse him of perormance enhancing drugs again. It would be ideal to not see a frenchman in a yellow jersey for another decade. That is pretty likely. A country that believes that war is never necessary probably believes hard training is not necessary either. On a side note Daimler Chrysler signed a 1. 8 $ BLN deal with a french parts maker to make vehicle components. That is ok- I wiil buy my last new dodge product in the next couple of months. I will let the german corperate parent and thier ( serving wench)*****-( the french) keep thier parts. I should not sugar coat my feeling for the french this way! :D

Peter, you've got it very wrong, most of the French were rooting for Lance.

Seems it's just Americans that can't separate what lame politicians do from true athletes.

The real sportsman of the race is Jan Ullrich, who WAITED for Lance to re-mount after a fall. He (Ullrich) was hear to say "only a miracle would allow me to beat Lance but I didn't want it like that" I have paraphrased Ullrichs statement do not take it as a direct quote, but you get the meaning. and BRAVO LANCE! Right now Lance is still in the shadow of Miguel Indurain who some feel was (is) a more versitile cyclist than Armstrong who is more focused on the Tour De France whereas Indurain competed in almost every event he could. A sixth win in 2004 will surely quell the doubt as to Lances superstar status.

very true about Ullrich but what goes around comes around as i always say. Lance stopped the field after Ullrich fell in '01 and said we don't race until he is up... ... .....

They all do that... its one of the unspoken rules of racing. If your going to win it ought to be on the up and up. A serious bike racer would never take the "easy" win from his opponent falling.

Lance is amazing...
