Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Will my dealer know if I had an EZ on the engine?

I have to take my '02 in to see about warranty work on the LP and VP44 since I am getting the codes. My question is if I remove the Edge EZ(that was put on after the problem arose), will the computers tell them it was on there?

Also, does anyone know where a link to the proper procedure for checking the LP is online? I would like to go in there with some ammo.

If the ez was velcroed to the PDB take the lid off and trade with a buddy who does not have velcro on his. I would also leave both negative battery cables off for about two hours just to reset all the codes. That will help pass it through the dealer.



To check the LP i would do a search on fuel pressure, that will bring up enough stuff for you to read for days.

From what I understand if the dealer really wanted to find out they could. However they probably won't get too snooty for a LP.

I just had my LP changed this week and they didn't even care that I had done my mods I guess I have a good dealer.

They replaced the LP, but I feel it is a band-aid for the VP44.
