The forged aluminum wheels from the model year 2000 and newer Ram 2500's won't fit earlier Rams as is. I picked up an extra set of these wheels for my model year 2000 Ram 2500 from someone with an earlier model Ram who didn't wish to get involved with extensive rework to make them "fit".

The late model aluminum rims will fit earlier trucks, but you have to turn about 1/8" off the widest part of the rear brake drums and grind a bit of metal from the the rod ends. On some trucks, a bit of metal must be removed from the steering knuckle to clear the wheel.

Make sure the front wheels are pushed all the way back to the rotor, or you could cinch up the lugs and bind the wheel at an angle= wobbly wheel. It is a very tight fit at the center circle in the front wheels, but the wheels will fit with a little bit of work.

I just bought a set of 2001/2500 mags, center caps and lug nuts. If anyone needs a set with Michliens, I got 'em.

Will you hang onto them until I need them. Just kidding I have two wheels I am still trying to sell. If I put mudgrips on the front as well as the back would this keep me from getting stuck so easily?
