I have completely avoiding shoot my 10-22 or AR22 for the last year simply because of the 22LR shortage. Will ithe hoarding ever end?

I invested a boat load in center fire pistol, rifle and reloading component several years back before that frenzy hit. I never once thought that 22LR would become the "must" round to hoard up.

I'm blown away that some guys on the gun forums I read are bragging about having 20k plus rounds of 22LR and are still seeking more inventory. To each is their own I guess. After all, I have a hefty supply myself but I certainley don't have 20k rounds of ammo.....or do I???! :D

At this point, it seems that you have to be at the right place at the right time. I've had the itch to get a Henry in .22, and the shop I visit said he has some on reserve just for arms sales so customers can go have fun. I was at a Dicks over the weekend, and while they had nothing, their policy was posted limiting quantities, etc.

I bought some in Sevierville Tennessee at Smoky Mtn. Knife and Buds Guns a week ago. Still a stalemate here. I did buy a couple of boxes at Arwoods in Corsicana about a month ago. Walmart says they get some in but people are lined up and they sell out immediately. I have had some of their employees offer to sell to me, just double the price. I see them ar flea markets and gun shows, again with jacked up prices. Looks like the problem is not supply but the greed for the dollar. b g

Tons of ammo in Salt Lake City . California the guys are outside the store waiting for the UPS truck to show up .........

That's the problem....ammo flippers. I hear people bragging about it all the time. But hey, that's Capitalism right? Hopefully, it will settle down at some point.

I havent purchased 22lr in probably over a decade!
Having said that, I used to buy it by the brick whenever I saw it cheap (.89 a box)
When/if I run out I'll end up buying it for these assinine prices, but not until then.
