Here I am

Will the Ford guys be mad at me? Do I care?

A good example of misery. No, PAIN! :(

I try to be fair, open minded, and not push my views on anyone. But sometimes I have my weak moments. Those guys sometimes defy all logic known to mankind. Sometimes, they make me want to jump in a wood chipper. I'm holding the rest back.

Yep - Double Dumb is about right. The one's that are lucky enough to get ford to buy back their trucks, go back and buy another ford. I don't get it. They bash the Dodge and to some extent the Cummins. Most of those ford guys would buy their new fords even if it had a yugo motor in it. Guess they just don't know a quality/dependability/and longevity in a truck/motor (Dodge/Cummins) when they see or hear it.

I would be so PI**ED OFF if my truck had 1/8th the problems those guys have, and I certainly would not stay loyal to the manufacturer.

Well, I am sure you know there is a bad seed in a bunch, it's just right now, they are experiencing a high volume of bad seeds, and are trying their best to cope with them. Yes, some of these people are loyal to their brands, but need to get the idea that sometimes you have to look a little further than just a label. I agree the ford is an awesome truck, and would be bad ass if you could get a 6BT or an ISB in it... Wow! now that would be perfect!

Bring that conversion over here. I'd pay some BUCKS just to see the looks I'd get firing that thing up under someFORDboys noses. :-laf :-laf :D

And to the ford guys, there ain't no Santy Claus and there ain't no "Fix it All" reflash.

Better throw that hook while you're jumping! ;)

I didn't see it (dad told me), but.....

after I put on the 5" (w/o res. at first) when I started my truck at home on the weekend, my neighbor turned his head quick when he heard me fire up and had a WTHIT look on his face. I had had it on for about a week, but he is out of town with work, except on weekends.

Notice how you don't really see any new adds for the "most powerful diesel in a light truck"?

A friend of mine worked for the company that did the initial design of the injection system. there's some scary stuff wrong with it... they have done away with pilot injection on the recent re-flashes. but in order to still meet emisions they have had to tame the HP levels some. my guess is that the Cummins and Duramax are ahead in the HP game.

That would be sweet! a 450 crew cab, King Ranch Leather with 6 speed and a 6BT/DEE setup!!! WOWERS!!! oh well, its nice to dream!

I owned Ford trucks for 30 years and they all were really good trucks (gas engines). When it came time for a Diesel it had to be a Cummins so Dodge it was. I have been pleasantly surprised with the the quality of my Dodge and unpleasantly surprised with the Dodge support structure from lousy personel to rip off prices in the parts department. Would I buy another Dodge? you bet but not new.
