Will the new 18" & 20" Ford SD Wheels fit our trucks?

The new '05 Super Duty Fords have optional 18" and 20" wheels. Others have commented and I agree that they appear to have more back spacing than the older fords.



I asked the parts department at our local Ford dealer, but didn't get any answers about the backspacing or even availability. Has anyone else tried to get specs or findout if they fit?

Unless they changed, the Fords have a different bolt pattern than the Dodge.

Correct. Fords have a different pattern than Chevy and Dodge.

the bolt pattern is different. we [and gm] have 8 x 6. 5", while ford uses 8 x 170mm [8 x ±6. 69"] if the hubs the same size, the wheels might be able to be machined to fit using some offset washers and shanked lug nuts [if any remember mag wheels from 70-80's had this option] but for the price of doing that, probably wouldn't be worth it.



but them 20" HD versions look nice...

One benefit sure to follow is the bountiful choice of 18" tires on the horizon
