ok i have a 95 3500 regular cab 5 speed. i have the afc star wheel turned all the way up and the fuel plate moved some bit forwards, but if i slide it full fowards will the clutch slip, hold up thats my question. . ive been told no and ive been told yes it will. . can i have some input thanks Pat. .

if you look on tst website they say that a stock clutch will hold about 250hp and 635tq. i would say that if the clutch is in good shape then yes it would hold the extra power. sliding the stock plate full foward is not even close to the extra 75 hp the tst plate will give you.

The clutch will hold fine if you don't abuse it. Mine has only slipped once, the main thing is keep the RPM's up, don't hammer on it in fourth or fifth with the revs low and it will be fine, even the stock clutch holds well above 1800 RPM or so. With that said, my next BOMB will be a SB clutch. :D

Depends on the condition of your clutch, mine had 130k (factory clutch) when I started bombing my truck. It would slip at low rpm when I romped on it. But was fine for higher rpm, and even towing as long as I didn't try and drap race with a load. If you want to go big with your truck go Southbend 13" and be done. Nobody wants to go big at first, but it doesn't take long before your on a first name basis w/ the guys at Piers. Alot of guys have had good luck with the Luk Progold, it is slightly better than stock. Good luck!

Im running a 135,000 mile stock clutch and a #11 full foward. It only slips If I let the clutch out to slow, otherwise its holding strong, even with a 16K+ trailer behind it.
