I'm currently looking at a set of XD 18"x 9 wheels with 5. 71 backspacing. How much will these wheels stick out of my wheelwell. I'm installing them on a 2wd 3/4 ton with a 2 inch leveling kit in the front. I'm wondering by changing the backspacing it would stand to make sence that the new wheels would cause the ball joints to wear a little faster towards the dreaded wobble. Any help would be welcome on this subject. My current 17 inch tires are on their last leg and need to be changed out. I can't stand my stock wheels. I think jumping up a size will improve wheel to truck aspect, are there any drawbacks I haven't considered? I would like to have the biggest tires I can squeeze under there.
