I am wondering I will run into any problems with my truck if I do all the transmission upgrades a while before I do my power upgrades (Edge Comp and other toys)

It will be a couple months or more between the two upgrades.

Thanks

Bill

thanks for the in put. I am actually checking a few things to see if I can do all of it in one big shot. kind of pricey but at least it will be done.

Bill

I do not know who's upgrades you will be using BUT DTT sets up the VB to the engine's power level. If you change the power level after it is tweeked to the stock level it might need re tweeking. Shift points, detent, line pressures,... .....

Just some thing to think about.

Shooter,

Thanks for the info. That is the kind of stuff I am looking for. Although I do not think that I will be using DTT I am sure this would be the same for any set vendor. Nothing against their products but some of the people that have them are just a little too fanatical about them being the ONLY thing that anyone should ever have.

Bill

HUH??

Bill, why would you not buy a product that people are so happy with that they are fanatical? Seems backa$$wards to me!!

Maybe there is another system that not only works but just might be better? There IS more than one transmission upgrade supplier.

That was mostly it. There are a couple of good places out there. I have nothing against any of them I am sure that they are all great.

But when people act like it is a Holy War instead of a trans upgrade I have issues there.

I have no problems with telling people if I like or do not like a product even more so if I have had a chance to compair it to others like it.

Bill

Bill. This is just MHO, but if the ATS TC works the way it's advertised, you'll probably see their users act the same way in the future. LOL I hope it does work as advertised. We're all tech heads on this site. New technology is cool. I wouldn't let few folks that appear fanatical keep me from taking an honest look at DTT though. There are a lot of satisfied customers out there. And yes I'm one of them. Good luck on which ever one you choose.

Jihad????

the only people that treat it that way are the ones that have an axe to grind with Bill and DTT. if i were doing transmission upgrades, there is NO WAY i wouldn't go with DTT. there are way too many satisfied customers out there. but look at my sig..... i'll need a clutch, not transmission work... . i'll be going with South Bend when the time comes thank you very much... ... .....

juicedcummins,

Thanks. I figured that the RPM would come up slower causing a little turbo lag.

I think I am going to bite the bullet and just order a Edge Comp, Stage II injectors and a Blue Chip pump cover so I have then on hand as soon as I do the trans.

Bill

I figure that at some point a turbo will be in order.

I also need to get myself a set of SPA gauges installed before anything else.

Bill

Yes prob a turbo would be a must if your going to hold-er on the floor for any length of time.

Then again they say that the 2's run cooler than my rv's.

I could use at least a housing on this one. 40lbs!
